AMTA Celebrates Milestone of 100 Certified Transportation Safety Coordinator/Professional Graduates

The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) is proud to announce a significant milestone for its Certified Transportation Safety Coordinator (CTSC) and Certified Transportation Safety Professional (CTSP) designation programs, which have now surpassed 100 graduates since inception.

Monday, July 27, 2026 - Rocky View, AB — The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) is proud to announce a significant milestone for its Certified Transportation Safety Coordinator (CTSC) and Certified Transportation Safety Professional (CTSP) designation programs, which have now surpassed 100 graduates since inception.
CTSC and CTSP designations are designed for entry-level and experienced safety and compliance professionals responsible for coordinating, developing, implementing, and managing carrier transportation safety programs. The graduates are equipped with comprehensive knowledge and key competencies in legislation and standards, operational duties, investigations, public and personal safety, data management, stakeholder engagement, and learning and development. This provides them with the skills to be accountable for coordinating or supervising daily operations, providing guidance to team members, and serving as subject matter experts.
Beginning with the first graduates in 2019, AMTA’s designations have increasingly gained recognition across provincial boundaries, helping to establish a consistent standard of excellence for transportation safety professionals throughout Canada. The AMTA’s100th CTSC/P graduate reflects the growing demand for highly trained safety professionals and underscores the industry's commitment to fostering safer transportation operations.
