About the Alberta Motor Transport Association

The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) is a not-for-profit association that has served as the voice of Alberta's commercial transportation industry since 1938. AMTA advocates for the trucking and motor transport sector, delivers safety programs and education, and administers the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program on behalf of Alberta as a Certifying Partner.

What AMTA does

• Advocacy and government relations for Alberta's commercial transportation industry
• Safety programs, including COR and SECOR certification and auditor services
• Education and professional driver training, including simulator training and eLearning
• Industry research and innovation projects (hydrogen, electric vehicles, platooning)
