Highway Truck Safety Continues to Improve
The latest truck safety data from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration shows that once again the trucking industry showed significant progress for crash rates.
The number of large trucks involved in fatal crashes in the U.S. dropped 31 percent between 2007 to 2009, the agency stated in a new report.
The number of large trucks per 100 million vehicle miles dropped 26 percent, while the corresponding rate for automobiles fell 17 percent. Details


New Venue for 2012 AMTA Management Conference
AMTA is pleased to announce its 2012 Management Conference will be held at the Banff Springs Hotel in Banff.
After hosting the event for several years at the Rimrock Hotel in Banff it was time for a new venue.
Join us on May 4 and 5, 2012 at the beautiful Banff Springs Hotel for the association’s annual general meeting and conference.
