External Auditor Training
At this time the AMTA is not looking for External Auditors. If
you require more information please call Fred Gould at
403-214-3440. (fredg1@amta.ca)
To be considered as a candidate to become an External Auditor
you must first successfully complete our Transportation Safety
Basics course. This course is the prerequisite for the auditing
course to follow.
To be considered as an External Auditor you must be a full time
safety consultant. If this is the case you are required to
submit the following:
-
A resume
outlining a minimum of 5 years experience as a
transportation safety professional as well as any auditing
experience
-
3
professional letters of reference
-
A letter
from you to the AMTA outlining what your specific skills are
and why this will make you a good candidate
-
A police
background check current to within 30 days of the
application
We review this information and if
we then feel you are a good candidate we will arrange for an in
person interview. From this interview we will decide whether to
proceed or not. If the decision is made to proceed, you will be
expected to successfully complete our blended (online &
classroom) auditing course. If you are accepted, you will be
expected to obtain and maintain an associate membership with the
AMTA to be placed on any public External Auditor list.
