 Using the
Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance
(CVSA) Out-of-Service criteria (O/OS)
applicable in North American (Canada,
US,
Mexico)
this course aims to improve
understanding of standard for measuring
a motor carrier’s vehicle maintenance
program.
All motor
carriers in
North America
have experienced, or are aware of, a
CVSA inspection and its consequences,
because the checks are random, most
carriers have only a limited
understanding of CVSA and its criteria.
To improve understanding , CVSA has developed information
seminars which have been available only in the US. AMTA and
Alberta Transportation (AT) Inspection Services, has developed
and tested a similar set of courses.
The course offered is 6-7 hours, in two part sessions. Four to
five hours of classroom review of the CVSA criteria in detail
(both bus and truck) and is followed by a two hour practical
where an inspection is performed on a commercial vehicle.
Location for the two hour practical part will be announce on the
day of the course.
These courses are held on demand, so please pre-register to
ensure a seat. Minimum 10, maximum 20 people per class please.
AMTA will gladly schedule dates in your
area
if
we have a minimum of 10-12
participants.
