AMTA Annual Southern Golf Fund Raiser

Annual Southern Golf Fund Raiser will be held on Thursday
September 9, 2010 at the Heatherglen Golf Course. This Best Ball
Scramble has teams of four competing for a variety of
gifts pre-purchased by the committee. Everyone receives a
prize. The tournament will be followed by a BBQ
steak dinner at the Tournament House..
The Southern Best Ball Scramble is open to all Carrier and
Associate members of the Alberta Motor Transport
Association. As a member you may enter as an individual
or as a team. Those applying as individuals will be sorted into
teams by the committee. Those applying as a team should have
four golfers
to make a
team. The committee will fill teams with less then 4 golfers
with applications received from individuals.
Below find an application form for the Southern Fund Raiser
Tournament. The entry fee for each
participant is $160.00 (+GST). This includes green
fees, dinner at the Awards barbecue and a shared cart.
Teams will automatically be assigned two carts. For those of you
that wish to participate but do not golf, barbecue tickets are
available for $45.00 (+GST).

number of golf tickets available.
Ticket
sales are based on a first come first serve basis to members.
Sponsor
opportunities: Sponsorship funds will be used to purchase gifts
awarded to Golfers after the Tournament at the BBQ.
Those sponsoring $250 will have their Company name placed on a
sign at one of each of the 18 holes and will be recognized at
the BBQ and gift selection process. (Holes are not manned with
Contests and refreshment at this tournament) Should you be

Tournament - Sylvan Lake - June 9th
This year the Alberta Motor
Transport Association Annual Golf Day will be held on Wednesday,
June 9, 2010 at Sylvan Lake starting at 9:00 AM. The Golf Day
Committee will be hosting the Tournament at the Sylvan Lake Golf
and Country Club. Later in the day all golfers will meet at the
Sylvan Course Club House for a BBQ dinner and Awards ceremony.
The Sylvan Lake Best Ball Scramble is open to all Carrier and
Associate members of the Alberta Motor Transport Association. As
a member you may enter as an individual or as a team. Those
applying as individuals will be sorted into teams by the
committee. Those applying as a team should have six golfers to
make a team. The committee will fill teams with less then 6
golfers with applications received from individuals.
Golfers in the Best Ball Tournament compete for prizes . Each of
the 18 holes are sponsored by Associate Members. Each runs a
contest at their hole which teams compete in. All 18 hole
sponsors award their prizes to the winners of their contest at
the BBQ held at the club house after the tournament. Keeper
trophies will also be presented for team performance at the
tournament.
All entrants should provide an average personal score in order
that teams made up of individuals can be balanced and the team
entries can be handicapped.

Best Ball Scramble has teams of four competing for a variety of

The Northern Best Ball Scramble is open to all Carrier and
Associate members of the Alberta Motor Transport Association. As
a member you may enter as an individual or as a team. Those
applying as individuals will be sorted into teams by the
committee. Those applying as a team should have four golfers to

golfers with applications received from individuals.
