Friday afternoon will be devoted to  a  2010 Engine Session  and will feature  a panel  discussion with  experts from the leading engine makers including Volvo, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, International, Mack and PACCAR
. They will be questioned on how their engines will meet customer needs in terms of  their technology path , cost compared to 2009, fuel mileage expectations and why, warranties,  and repair and service costs . This will be followed with a Q&E session with the engine makers.

Running concurrent with the above business session will be a comprehensive Spousal program.  Activities include a   Fashion show  featuring EVEolgy, makeovers with Make Up by Jackie,  the Silpada  Jewelry  line, Nails by Divine Spa ,Twinkle toes and Tarot card reading  with Angela Ranson.

The theme for Friday evening is Casino Royale. Following dinner delegates will have an opportunity to win big at a variety of casino games with lots of prizes to be won.

Again this year on Saturday morning, there  will be a full breakfast followed by two business sessions.

The first session titled " The High Risk Driver" (HRD) will be presented by Rick Geller, Director of Safety & Signature Services  with Markel. The (HRD) program is a revolutionary way of managing driver performance. The trucking industry today generally waits until a crash has occurred before taking any actions. HRD offers a way to accurately predict which drivers will be involved in crashes in the coming 12 months, as well as the opportunity to provide management intervention before the crash happens.
Following this session will be the AMTA Annual General meeting.

The keynote speaker  at the Saturday luncheon will be Michael Kerr.  Through his humour-filled and dynamic keynotes and workshops, author Michael Kerr inspires audiences to combat stress, boost morale and be more productive, creative and innovative by tapping into their humour resource.

MKerrAuthor of You Can't Be Serious!- Putting Humor to Work, Michael Kerr combines his practical, "serious" experience as a former communications manager with his "not-so-serious" experience as a theatre improviser, humorist and humour writer to provide a unique perspective on the role humour and laughter play in our professional lives.

Michael Kerr is a faculty member of The Banff Centre for Management, a Laughter Leader for the World Laughter Tour, a member of the American Association of Therapeutic Humour and The International Group for Humor Studies.

Michael Kerr is the author of the best-selling book "When Do You Let the Animals Out? - A Field Guide to Rocky Mountain Humour" Michael Kerr also writes a regular humour column for Home Business Report magazine.

The Conference will culminate with the Presidents Banquet on Saturday night. Following dinner and award presentations, delegates will be invited to attend the Diva Lounge  where  the pianist Suzanne Morley will entertain.
