Loading & Unloading: New Course
Workplace
injuries are often related to improper loading and unloading
practices. AMTA has just unveiled an
important new course to provide practical advice to help make
workers aware of steps they can take to protect themselves
during the loading and unloading process. Upcoming course dates:
Calgary
(Feb. 2–3), Edmonton
(Feb. 25-26).
This new two-day course provides practical advice to everyone
involved in the loading, delivery, and unloading of various
materials. Whether dealing with products that are to be carried
in cube vans, flat decks, bulk containers, or moved using
forklifts, cranes or other loading equipment, the information is
pertinent, up-to-date, and focuses always on safety.
This course highlights the planning that should take place to
ensure proper loading procedure, as well as the necessary
precautions during loading/unloading functions.
