If you answered “yes” to all of the above you would be correct. The companies listed above have proven, through several avenues, and over time, to be among the safest in Alberta. These carriers range in size from 15 to over 900 vehicles with the two bus companies registering over 1000 vehicles each. All have achieved an “Excellent” rating on their Alberta Safety Fitness Certificate, and all receive several benefits for maintaining that “Excellent” rating. These companies are very diverse in what they carry from general freight, to students, to refrigerated freight, to dangerous goods and bulk, and operate all over Alberta, Canada and the United States. If your company fits into one or more of these categories, then you too could be on the above list.

There are several criteria that must be met in order to achieve PIC membership, but all the criteria are attainable, manageable, and beneficial, to any company whose desire is to “send all workers home safe at the end of every day”. Further, the mantra of these companies is to have a positive impact on the general motoring public, and participate in the safe management of our roadways. Partners In Compliance is a joint venture between Alberta Transportation, WCB, Alberta Enforcement and the transportation industry. Our common theme is safety, and our common goal is safer roadways for all users. What we have found is that carriers, who are committed to safety in all aspects of the company, are also committed to safety all the time, and are continuously looking for ways to improve their safety programs. Further, a new benefit to safety has developed and is being embraced.

“Safety Pays”
Although you may not see an immediate return, and the return may not always be measurable or tangible, “Safety Pays”. It pays in driver retention and driver pride, it pays in better customer contacts and contracts, it pays in lower insurance premium and in lower WCB loss time claims, it pays in image and attitude on and off the road, it pays in indirect recovery costs, and it pays in productivity.

Safety is always good for business!

If you would like more information on how to place your companies name on the list above, please feel free to give the staff at Partners In Compliance a call.

We are available to help your company “work towards excellence” and acquire the many benefits available to companies, who desire is to be ranked, among the safest companies in Alberta.
