CSA 2010: What Carriers Need to Know (Feb. 24)
A major new safety
initiative known as Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010 or
CSA 2010 has many
Alberta carriers whose trucks enter the
US
anxious to learn more.
To help Alberta carriers find out what they need to know,
AMTA is hosting a special half-day
presentation featuring Bruce Holmes, Division Administrator for
the Montana Division of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety
Administration (FMCSA) at the
AMTA office in Calgary from 8 am –
12:00 Noon on February 24, 2010. A lunch will be served
following the seminar. This important information session is
co-presented by BFL Insurance Services
and Zurich North America Canada.
CSA
2010 is the carrier-rating safety system based entirely on how
drivers and vehicles perform at roadside safety checks.
CSA will affect every carrier who goes
into the US. It is
important that carriers find out about CSA
because the US government is
collecting data on carriers now. The CSA
program will determine how often carriers will be subjected to
roadside inspections, letters of warning, facility audits or
fines.
