CBC Radio
Interviews
Mayne Root About Shortage of Rest
Stops in Canada
AMTA
was in the news last week when the Association’s executive
director Mayne Root was interviewed by CBC
Radio’s drive-in show.
Root talked about the lack of rest stops in Canada and the challenge that
presents to commercial transport drivers in complying with hours
of service regulations.
The interview was prompted by the fact that Transport Canada is
undertaking a major review of rest stops in Canada.
Transport
Canada is currently engaging in a
survey of the trucking industry and wants to hear from truck
drivers about their perspective (and ideas) of how the issue
should be addressed. To find out more about the survey, please
