In a move that will boost awareness of Alberta’s safe,
responsible truck drivers, AMTA has
inked a deal with Corus Radio that will see the
AMTA Driver of Month profiled on
popular radio stations Country 105 (in Calgary) and
CISN Country (in Edmonton).
“Social recognition like this is an excellent tool to
motivate employee safety behaviour and contributes to a
company’s safety culture,” says Mayne
Root, AMTA’s Executive Director. “Recognition
in front of peers, as well as motorists who share the road with
professional truck drivers, is invaluable.”
This exciting new program was kicked off in September and
provides the following high-profile recognition for each month’s
Driver of the Month:
On-Air Promotion (Country 105 / CISN
Country):
- Daily 15-second message spotlighting the Driver of the Month.
- Interview with driver aired during the week.
- Every Sunday 30-second feature congratulating Driver of the
Month.
Web Promotion (Country 105 / CISN
Country):
- Detailed photo and bio page on both stations web sites
spotlighting the current driver of the month.
There is no cost to companies whose driver’s are named Driver of
the Month.
